Okuku Microfinance Bank, initially established as a private limited company in Nigeria in 1992, commenced operations as a Community Bank in April 1993. In March 2007, the bank received preliminary approval to operate as a Microfinance Bank, and after fulfilling all necessary requirements, it was granted its official Microfinance Bank license on December 31, 2007.
